During an interview for The Comment Section podcast that aired on Wednesday, the rising Pink Pony Club star was asked by host Drew Afualo about what she missed being able to do before becoming a celebrity.
“(Doing) drugs in public,” she replied with a laugh. “That’s what I miss. Just like, rolling up, being a f**king freak at the bar or making out with someone at the bar.”
“I miss frolicking, obviously, because now I’m self-conscious to frolic,” the singer continued.
In addition, Chappell noted that she wishes she could go shopping without courting attention.
“(I miss) being in a Forever 21 and not being judged,” the 26-year-old smiled. “I’m in disguise most of the time. But like, I miss just walking around being by myself. I guess being by myself is (what) I miss.”
Elsewhere in the conversation, Chappell, real name Kayleigh Amstutz, noted that the biggest benefit of fame is being able to meet her favourite artists.
“I guess people who’ve been in my position feel more comfortable talking to me, they can relate on a level. And people who I’ve looked up to my entire life are like peers now, which is sick. Which is cool,” she added.
