With Chappell Roan’s Pink Pony Club growing exponentially, her 2023 album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess has topped Billboard’s Vinyl Albums chart for the first time. The CoSign alum is also knocking on the door of the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 2 behind Taylor Swift.
Per Billboard, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess (get your copy here) rocketed from No. 12 to No. 1 on the Vinyl Albums chart by moving 8,500 copies during the week ending on August 15th. This marks a 203% sales increase from the week before. It’s also worth noting that Roan will release a special anniversary vinyl reissue of the album on September 20th.

Over on the Billboard 200, Rise climbed one spot to No. 2 while hitting a new peak for the third week in a row. It racked up 72,000 equivalent album units while finishing second to The Tortured Poets Department, which earned 85,000 units.
Roan is on a European tour ahead of her performance at the 2024 VMAs on September 10th. After that, she’ll play a UK leg and return to the US for a string of shows including festival appearances at All Things Go and Austin City Limits. Get tickets here.
