Charli XCX has Announced his new album, Golf club, which according to the British musician will be released “this summer.” As a preview, he will release his latest single, “Von Dutch,” and its accompanying video this Thursday (February 29).
The artist added that the project will have 15 songs and 41:23 minutes in length. In other recent social media posts, Charli described Golf club as a “club record”.
“I love you angels, I love celebrating with you and I love all of you who wanted to be there but couldn't. xcx6 is a club record and I can’t wait to celebrate with you around the world,” he said. wrote. “I was born to make dance music. I come from the clubs. xcx6 is the album I always wanted to make.”

In a recent interview with FaceCharli talked about how she wanted to move in a different direction than her last studio album. Crasha concept album about a pop singer that sold out.
“I needed to change later Crash —I wasn't born to do ocean liners,” said Charli, before describing Golf club as simultaneously its “most aggressive and confrontational story” and its most vulnerable.
According to writer Shaad D'Souza, the album also focuses on friendships and rivalries rather than love, thanks to her “really nice and happy” relationship with her fiancé George Daniel, producer and drummer of The 1975.
Elsewhere in the profile, D'Souza described “Von Dutch” as the “perfect introduction to her new acidic, freestyle style” and a throwback to Charli's MySpace days. In another song, the artist delves into her grief over the passing of hyperpop pioneer SOPHIE.
Crash was released in March 2022. Charli XCX has since contributed to the soundtracks of Bodies Bodies Bodies (“Hot Girl”) and Barbie (“Speed Driving”). She also directed the Money soundtrack with Leo Birenberg and guested on the title track of AG Cook's upcoming album.
Last week, Charli played to a packed Boiler room set in Bushwick with Cook and Daniel.
