Charli XCX Plots 2024 'BRAT' International Tour Dates

Charli XCX announced the international dates for her 2024 Brat tour on Monday (March 25), which will be a mix of live concerts and events she's dubbed 'partygirl'. The run will kick off with a set at Primavera Sound Barcelona on June 1, followed by shows in London, New York, Chicago, Los Angeles and Mexico City before ending on June 22 in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

A few hours after the dates were announced, the singer noted on Instagram that all the shows were already sold out.

At press time, Charli had yet to announce a release date BRAT, her sixth full-length album, although she recently revealed that it will be released this summer, contains 15 songs and is 41:23 long. The follow-up to her 2022 album Conflict has been propelled by the uptempo first single, “Von Dutch”.

Talking to you Advertising sign at this year's Women in Music 2024 event, Charli said that BRAT is a club record meant to harken back to London's illegal rave scene of the early 2000s, where he started playing as a 14- and 15-year-old, created from a tight collection of sounds to create “this unique minimalism that's very powerful and bold. ”

She also said the album is “very direct” eschewing “metaphor and flowery lyricism” for language closer to the way she talks to her friends in text messages. “This record is everything I would talk about with my friends, exactly how I would say it. It's in a way very aggressive and confrontational, but also very conversational and personal,” he said. “And not in that boring way where artists say, 'This is my most personal record.' To me, it's like listening to a conversation with a friend.
