“Brat and it's the same but there's three more songs so it's not,” the singer says of the midnight release
Charli XCX released an expanded version of Brat, which includes three new songs, on Sunday at midnight. The 15-song original arrived on Friday.
She announced the new version on social media a few hours before the release. “Brat and it's the same, but there's three more songs so it's not,” she said captioned a post on Instagram. The expanded album, with the same title as her social media post, includes new tracks “Hello Goodbye”, “Guess” and “Spring breakers”.
The trio of tracks expands on the original album, which includes the songs “So I,” about her friend and collaborator Sophie, who died in 2021, and “Rewind,” about insecurities, along with songs like “360 ” and “Club Classics”. ”
“On her sixth album, Brathe stays out later and goes harder than ever,” he says Rolling rockLP review. “And while she's gyrating on the dance floor, she's getting off on her head, digging deep into the kinds of insecurities and fears that are in store for the next morning's comedown.”
In a Rolling rock Interview in the UK, Charli XCX explained the meaning behind the name of her sixth album. “It's the kind of behavior that everyone is adopting online, whether you're a Twitter troll or dancing with Addison Rae on TikTok. There's this element of unabashed, shameless, me-centric content being made, but I also think behind that is a lot of people using it as a protective layer,” he said. “Sensitivity is a cloak. You're only stupid if you're dealing with something that's made you feel a little insecure.”
