Chencho Corleone's “Lo Caro y Lo Bueno” Fires Up the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards

Chencho Corleone was present and in action at the 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards airing Sunday (October 20) via Telemundo.

After performances by Fuerza Regida, Pepe Aguilar, Gloria Trevi & Maria Becerra and Yandel, to name a few, the Puerto Rican artist brought his urban-cumbia fusion into the spotlight with “Lo Caro y Lo Bueno” – a song about a woman . who is independent and enjoys the finer things in life.

Wearing an oversized button-down shirt, matching pants and oversized sunglasses, Corleone was joined by a group of sultry dancers as he sang: “She likes the expensive and the good / She likes the party, the rumba and the rakata.”

“Lo Caro y Lo Bueno” is part of Corleone's first studio album SOLO released five years after splitting from popular early 2000s reggaetón duo Plan B. With 18 songs, the set stays true to Chencho's signature vocals and futuristic grooves like “Menta,” “Good Times” and ” District”. In addition to experimenting with cumbia on “Lo Caro y Lo Bueno,” Corleone also has an electronic track called “Himalaya.”

The 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards, hosted by actors Carmen Villalobos and Danilo Carrera, celebrate the most outstanding talent in Latin music. This year's edition brings together an all-star lineup spanning multiple genres and generations, including J Balvin, Fuerza Regida, Kali Uchis, Xavi, Grupo Niche, Prince Royce, Proyecto Uno and many more.

Leading the finalists for the 2024 ceremony is Karol G, with 17 mentions in key categories such as Artist of the Year, tour of the Year and Global 200 Latin Artist of the Year. Bad Bunny and Peso Pluma follow closely behind with 15 mentions each.

The 2024 Billboard Latin Music Awards also featured performances from J Balvin, Grupo Niche, Pepe Aguilar, Gloria Trevi, Maria Becerra, Xavi, Chencho Corleone, Prince Royce, Gabito Ballesteros, Proyecto Uno and more.
