What is Childish Gambino's 2024 tour?
Childish Gambino’s upcoming tour, titled “The New World Tour,” will see the star embark on a lengthy, multi-continental trek. Kicking off on August 11 in Oklahoma City, Gambino will tour the United States and Canada through October. He will then spend the rest of the year across the pond performing in Europe. Then, in February 2025, he will head to New Zealand for one night before settling into Australia for four shows.
On the road, WILLOW will accompany Gambino for the first half of the tour, with Aamarae taking on supporting duties for the remainder of the dates.
Is Childish Gambino getting a new album?
Yes, he has two! “The New World Tour” comes shortly after the release of Childish Gambino’s new album, TOview The album is largely comprised of reimagined and complete versions of songs from their 3.15.20 project. It should be noted, however, that it also includes the title track and fan-favorite cut “Human Sacrifice,” which was teased at length prior to its release.
TOtavist comes as the first of two albums Childish Gambino promised would come out in 2024. He has announced the next one, titled Bando Stone and the New World — as Childish Gambino’s “final album.” The project is also the soundtrack to his upcoming film of the same name and features contributions from Max Martin, Steve Lacy, Khruangbin, Jorja Smith, Yeat, and longtime collaborator Ludwig Göransson. He previewed the album with “Lithonia,” which was named as one of our songs of the week in early July.
The film itself does not yet have an official release date, but Bando Stone and the New World (The album) arrived on July 19th.
