Chiquis Announces Diamantes North American Tour: See Dates

Mexican music singer Chiquis is set to hit the road with her Diamantes tour, produced by Live Nation, which kicks off May 30th in El Cajon, California. The Latin Grammy Award-winning artist will embark on a 16-date North American trek making stops in Houston, Atlanta and Mexico City before concluding on December 7th in Fresno, California.

“I'm so ecstatic and can't wait to start my DIAMANTES tour with my band, Banda Abeja Reina,” Chiquis said in a statement. “I am ready to share this new, fresh and unique concert experience, carefully developed with love for my American and Mexican fans. I want to personally invite all my Boss Bees to join me in their fanciest outfits at every show so we can shine bright, together!”

According to the press release, the tour will be a “celebration of empowerment, self-expression and unity” as Chiquis aims to create an “inclusive and uplifting atmosphere where fans can meet, connect and enjoy the joy of live music. ” Throughout the tour, the Mexican-American singer will be accompanied by her lively 13-piece band. tickets will go on sale on Friday March 15th at 10am local time.

The announcement of the Diamantes tour comes on the heels of Chiquis' fifth studio album. Bee Sidereleased in December, which is fueled by her traditional band sound, but also finds her dabbling in electro-cumbia, rap and electro-pop.
