Chris Brown is at No. 20. 1 milestone Bulletin boardMainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart with “Residuals”. The single topped the chart dated December 7 and was the most played song on US R&B/hip-hop radio during the tracking week of November 22 – 28, according to Luminate.
“Residuals” moves up from second place after gaining 4% in weekly plays. As the track climbs, it drops GloRilla's “TGIF” at No. 2 after the latter ended a 10-week streak of dominance, including the last nine straight frames. The new champion is Brown's second radio chart topper of 2024, following Davido and Lojay's “Sensational,” which ruled for one week in March.
With the 20th No. 1, Brown matches Lil Wayne's career total for the second-most by any player since the chart began in 1992. The pair trails only Drake, who is tied for the top spot with 46 leaders. Here's a recap of the artists with the most No. 1 on Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay:

“Residuals” appears on the deluxe edition of Brown's latest studio album, 11:11and became a fan favorite, with several clips shared of Brown performing the track during the tour's spring and summer stops. The growing attention sparked its debut on the multi-metric Hot R&B Songs chart in April before its official radio push began in mid-August. The single received a Grammy Award nomination for the upcoming ceremony for Best R&B Performance.
Brown first topped Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay when he and Johnta Austin appeared on Bow Wow's “Shortie Like Mine” on the chart on December 9, 2006. His first lead single came exactly one year later – on December 8, 2007, ranking – when “Kiss Kiss”, featuring T-Pain, took the top spot.

Otherwise, “Residuals” is at No. 2 for a third consecutive week on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, which ranks songs by audience share on watched adult R&B and mainstream R&B/hip-hop stations. There, it climbed to 15.6 million in weekly viewers, up 6% from the previous period. It's also 28-27 inches in Adult R&B Airplay, thanks to a 9% increase in plays.
