What's better than sharing a delicious meal and intimate conversations with your closest celebrity friends at the best restaurants in town? Adding some A-list musical artists to the table, perhaps? Chrissy Teigen, David Chang and Joel Kim Booster already have author-model cookbook author husband John Legend joining them in the first season of their upcoming Freeform original. Chrissy & Dave are dining outwill premiere on January 24, but there are a few hit makers they'd like to hang out with in the future.
“I would do Beyonce, Rihanna, Ariana Grande,” Teigen says Advertising sign of musical artists they would like on the show. “I've shared a meal with Ariana before — it was great! Just bad women, really! And Mariah Carey!”
For restaurateur and TV personality Chang, he wants a chance to break the record with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin after Chrissy & Dave are dining out stars make a joke about the band in the premiere episode. “It's a compliment to be so ubiquitous! I don't want the public to think it's negative!” explains the Momofuku boss, emphasizing that he was joking with respect. “It's something we're all jealous of… I'd have Chris Martin just to know he was tender [joke].”
Actress and comedian Kim Booster agrees and admits they'd like to aim high for potential musical guests at the table for a potential next season. “Yes, we will definitely strike!” says Advertising sign that they wanted to have the Coldplay frontman join them for a meal. “I don't think we're on his radar!”
Some who is On the actor-comedian's radar, however, is SZA, who he'd love to have on the show because, he explains, her music is what he likes to spin at his dinner parties. “It's such an atmosphere! It's so interesting,” sings SZA, who leads the 2024 Grammy nominations with nine. “I feel like I don't know a lot about SZA, so I would love to have her and really talk to her and go beyond the typical interview questions and understand her background and where she's coming from.”
While the first season of Chrissy & Dave are dining out will have a lineup of Hollywood's elite — including Jimmy Kimmel, Simu Liu, Regina Hall, Alexandra Daddario and more — there are some celebs a little lower on the list of the three stars of the new Freeform show to have on the schedule.
“I just talked to Scheana [Shay] – I love her. But I feel like spending time with her,” he declared himself Vanderpump Rules Fan Teigen shares when discussing who on the hit Bravo reality show she'd like to be on. “I mean, Tom Sandoval, to see what comes out of his mouth. I would be so curious to hear them all! But I think Lala [Kent] and I'd like… I'd like to hear more from her, I think.”
Island of Fire Star Kim Booster wants someone a little less dramatic than the core VPR gang: Lisa Vanderpump's son Max Todd. “I'd ask him why he's still a busboy!” laughs. “His mom owns the restaurant! What are you doing traveling with people!”
