Christian Nodal, 25, and Ángela Aguilar, 20, confirmed their relationship in two separate statements: the first via a news outlet on Monday (June 10) and the second via an Instagram video on Tuesday (June 11).
“It's not a new relationship. it's the continuation of a story that life made us stop to grow and miss,” Aguilar said. HELLO! , which also released the couple's first photos together, further confirming their romance. “Because when we left it, we came back even closer.”
The surprising news comes two and a half weeks after Regional Mexican singer and Argentinian trap star Cazzu (real name: Julieta Cazzucheli) announced their split. The former couple first went public in November 2022 during the Latin Grammys and had their first baby together the following year.
“First of all, Juliet is a person I love and respect for life. We are public figures, we are artists, but we are not masters of life,” Nodal said in a video statement after the news broke. “Love doesn't always work. Our cycle together ended in the best possible way. It was a love that gave us the most precious gift that could have come to us in life, the most beautiful thing we could do together, which is Inti, my daughter, whom I will always love, who I will always take care of. And in this relationship there will never be a third party, there has never been infidelity.”

Jan. 2018: Touring Together
Pepe Aguilar and his children, Ángela and Leonardo, presented the dates of their “Jaripeo Sin Fronteras” tour in a press conference held on January 10, 2018, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. They also revealed that they will be hitting the road with then-newcomer Christian Nodal, who was also present at the media event.

Jan. 2018: “El Show de El Piolin”
While promoting the tour, Ángela, Leonardo and Nodal visited the popular radio show “El Show de El Piolin”, where they played games, did an impromptu mariachi show and even joked about their respective lives. July 2019: Premios Juventud
Nodal and Aguilar participated in the 2019 Premios Juventud, where they were not only nominated in the same award category, “Agave de la Música Regional Mexicana”, but also performed alongside Pipe Bueno. The trio combined their powerful vocals to sing classics such as 'Volver, Volver', 'Sombras Nada Mas' and 'Cielito Lindo'.

November 2019: GRAMMY Museum
In the fall of the same year, Nodal and Aguilar were the invited artists for the Latin Music Gallery ribbon cutting at the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles. They were joined by the president of the Latin Academy of Recording Arts & Sciences, Gabriel Abaroa. GRAMMY Museum President Michael Sticka. and renowned journalist Gisele Fernandez, among others.

November 2020: The First Collaboration
In the midst of the global pandemic, Nodal and Aguilar released their first collaborative effort, “Dime Cómo Quieres”. The fresh-faced and lovestruck ranchera, written by Nodal and Edgar Barrera, finds Nodal fawning over Aguilar—who, in return, is unimpressed by his kind gestures. Besides, she's not the type of girl who falls in love with a guy easily, she sings. While the two are seen together in the playful music video, they each recorded their part separately using a green screen.
“I couldn't stop laughing while recording my part,” Aguilar previously said Advertising sign. “When you record a duet well, you have that human interaction and a lot of your facial expressions are a reaction to what the other person is doing. But here, I was singing to a green screen and a guy from our production team playing Nodal.”
“Dime Cómo Quieres” reached No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Airplay chart in January 2021, making a then-17-year-old Aguilar the youngest female lead to achieve the feat. It also earned her first No. 1 on any Latin airplay chart while Nodal scored his 10th on Latin Airplay.

Feb. 2022: Premio Lo Nuestro
The pair later reunited at the 2022 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards, where they paid a heartfelt tribute to the late Vicente Fernandez. They shared the main stage at the FTX Arena with local Mexican and pop acts including Eduin Caz (of Grupo Firme), Camilo, David Bisbal and AB Luna.

May 2023: Live “Dime Cómo Quieras”.
Three years after dropping their ranchera hit, Águilar and Nodal played it live for the first time during one of Nodal's sold-out concerts at the Foro Sol in Mexico City, where more than 60,000 noticed their chemistry in scene.

May 2024: Rumors begin
On May 23, Nodal publicly announced his split from Cazzu, with whom he dated for almost two years and had his first baby. That same month, rumors began circulating on social media that he was having an affair with Águilar. Amidst the controversy, Águilar was the surprise guest at Nodal's “Pa'l Cora tour” stop in Monterrey, just two days after the split.

June 2024: It's official
Just one day after Ángela Aguilar was honored with the Music Dynasty Award at the 2024 Billboard Latin Women in Music event, the Mexican singer revealed through an exclusive interview HELLO! that she and Nodal are indeed dating. A few hours later, Nodal took to his Instagram account to clear up all the rumours. “Now I find myself living a precious experience with a woman I love, with a love that took so many years to happen what is happening and we are enjoying it, living the experience,” he said of his new romance with Aguilar. .

June 2024: The first kiss
Following the couple's official announcements, Nodal and Águilar kissed in public for the first time during Nodal's concert at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City. Aguilar was his surprise guest and together they performed Pepe Aguilar's 'Por Mujeres Como Tu' followed by their collaboration 'DIme Como Quieres'. In the middle of the song, Aguilar proudly shouted “you're my friend!” and they ended the show with a big kiss on the lips.

June 2024: Cazzu speaks out
Amidst the trending news, Cazzu – mother of Nodal's daughter Inti – broke her silence and released a statement online.
“I feel the need to let you know that I AM OK, making the most of it,” she said in part on her Instagram Stories. “I'm choosing to step away from social media for a while to detox and focus on my baby, which is my priority, and my work, while everything calms down out there. Life is not completely beautiful or completely horrible, nor are people 100% good or bad, there are always grays and shades, but the important thing is to breathe and lovingly resist the necessary processes and learn.
