Christian Nodal and Peso Pluma take over Advertising signRegional Mexican Airplay chart as “La Intención” is at No. 1 on the chart dated March 30.
Nodal and Pluma's first collaboration jumps from No. 5 to top the chart with 8.3 million U.S. audience impressions in the week ending March 21, according to Luminate. that's a 27% gain from last week.
Through its double-digit win, “La Intención” wins the Greatest Gainer Award, which is given each week to the song with the biggest increase in plays among the 40 titles on the chart. Additionally, it dethrones Intocable's “Ojalá Que Estuvieras Así” from the lead (falling 1-3) after a 22% drop in impressions, to 6.2 million.
Thanks to “La Intención”, released through JG/Producciones Ladrón/Sony Music Latin, JG Music regains the No. 1 position for the first time in two years. Los Plebes del Rancho Grande and Nodal's “2 Veces” ended its four-week reign in May 2021.
As “Intención” dominates Regional Mexican Airplay, the Mexican radio hit nearly misses No. 1 on the overall Latin Airplay chart, which is made up of a panel of Spanish-language stations also ranked by audience impressions, where it rises 7-2 with 8.8 impressions, up 25%.
Back in Regional Mexican Airplay, “Intención” brings Nodal a record 16th No. 1 among soloists on the radio chart. Additionally, it is tied with Conjunto Primavera and Los Tigres del Norte for sixth place overall. Here's a recap of the most chart-topping acts:
