Christina Milian has revealed the reason she moved her family to France.
The Dip It Low singer opened up about relocating her family from Hollywood to France during an appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show on Tuesday.
“My husband is French, and we’ve been together for over seven or eight years,” Christina, 43, explained. “For the last three or four years, we were commuting back and forth every six months. Then we decided to commit to it last year because our kids were going to go to school.”
Christina has been married to singer Matt Pokora, 39, since 2020. The couple shares sons Isaiah and Kenna as well as Christina’s daughter Violet, who was from her previous relationship with singer The Dream.
She added that she loved that her children were receiving a cultural education while living abroad.
“I love it out there!” she enthused. “Our children are three, four, and Violet is 14. They’re all going to school in Paris. What better opportunity than that?”
Christina also confessed she’s had to work hard to learn to speak the language.
“I speak some, not that little, but I’ve been working on it for a year,” she said. “I’ve been challenged many times at restaurants and dinners where everyone’s speaking French.”
