Alien Ant Farm frontman Dryden Mitchell alleges that CKY singer Chad I Ginsburg punched him in the face during the two bands' joint tour of the UK and Europe. As a result, Alien Ant Farm will finish the rest of the tour without CKY.
Mitchell recounted the events leading up to the alleged altercation in a social media post on Saturday. According to his account, Ginsburg abused “multiple members of the team and the opening band.” Mitchell said she eventually confronted Ginsburg, prompting him to overturn a table in the locker room and throw her phone. Mitchell later met with CKY's manager, and that's when Ginsburg apparently punched him in the face.
“I would love for these shows to continue and I apologize to all CKY fans for Chad's behavior,” Mitchell said. “We have no hard feelings towards Jess. [Margera] and elvis [James] at CKY and I am devastated to see them go, but I will never consciously put myself in volatile situations, so this had to end.”
Alien Ant Farm is offering refunds to CKY fans who do not wish to attend upcoming concerts in the band's absence.
