Eccentric musician and online personality Oliver Tree knows how to turn heads, and on January 13, he'll be turning heads in good old Chi-town. His “Alone in a Crowd” tour passes through the Byline Bank Aragon Ballroom and is supported by the skate-punkers of FIDLAR. If nothing else, it will be one hell of a ruckus.

Allison Russell
January 14 @ Thalía Hall
Allison Russell has built a well-deserved following with her impressive blend of poetry, music, and activism. Her effort of 2022 The one who returns saw the multihyphenate reach new heights, finding new synergy between his sonic and thematic interests. She continues her celebration of that release with another leg of her “Returner Tour,” which will stop at Thalia Hall on January 14.

Tomorrow You Never Know Festival
January 17-21 at Lincoln Hall, Schubas, Gman Tavern and Sleeping Village
Since 2005, Tomorrow Never Knows has helped music fans stay warm during Chicago's infamously harsh winters through the raw power of good tunes. Mick Jenkins had an incredible 2023. In fact, we loved their album Patience So much so that we included it on our list of the best hip-hop albums of the year. For 2024, he'll celebrate the record with a series of dates, and luckily for Chicagoans, he'll make a stop at the Chicago House of Blues along the way.

Everclear
January 25 at the Des Plaines Theater and January 26 at the Arcada Theater
In September, Everclear fell Live at the Whiskey A Go Go, a (you guessed it) live album featuring some of their biggest hits. In case the set sparked any FOMO on the part of Chicago fans, the band has two dates in the Chicago area quickly approaching. On January 25 the group arrives in Des Plaines and January 26 finds them in St Charles.

With the electrifying and always impressive Billy Woods and the wonderful Elucid, Armand Hammer has fully established himself as royalty in the underground hip-hop scene. His 2023 album, We buy test strips for diabetics, only served to further cement that fact. They'll arrive at Lincoln Hall on January 25, and they'll bring Quelle Chris just in case.
Black Cougars
January 25-27 at The Salt Shed
Chicago loves the Black Pumas and the band knows it. So, they saw fit to play not one, not two, but three shows at The Salt Shed. Running from the 25th to the 27th, the marathon of shows is sure to be absolutely electrifying, especially with friends The Dip joining Black Pumas for each date.

In celebration of the 20th anniversary of their fan favorite LP. war all the time, the legendary post-hardcore veterans hit the road on Thursday. Featuring the recently reunited Rival Schools and Many Eyes (featuring Every Time I Die's Keith Buckley), the celebration comes to Chicago on January 30 at Concord Music Hall.
