Cris MJ Secures Second Hot Latin Top 10 With 'Si No Es Contigo'

Chilean singer-songwriter Cris MJ adds a second top 10 to his Advertising sign Hot Latin Songs chart account, as “Si No Es Contigo” debuts at No. 3 – just two steps behind current leader, eight-week No. 1 “Gata Only” featuring FloyyMenor. The former also bows at No. 72 on the overall Billboard Hot 100, the artist's highest debut of his three entries so far.

Christopher Andrés Álvarez García, better known as Cris MJ, launched his Hot Latin Songs career just two years ago with the No. 24 charting “Una Noche En Medellín” in 2022. A remix of the song featuring Karol G and Ryan Castro, released separately, later elevated the Chilean to a high of No. 12 in August 2023.

“Si No Es Contigo,” Cris MJ's latest debut top 10 hit—a rhythmic tune with Middle Eastern sounds—is powered almost entirely by streaming activity, with 7.9 million official US streams earned during the monitoring week of May 24-30, according to Fotina.

That total gives it an equal No. 3 start on Latin Streaming Songs, for Cris MJ's second top 10 in less than two months, following “Gata Only,” for a nine-week lead starting on the April 13-dated chart.

Extending the song's good start, “Contigo” also earns indie label Sonar its first top 10 on Hot Latin Songs. The Orchard sub-label, in partnership with Rimas Entertainment, scored a multi-metric tally entry for the first time via the three-way collaboration, “Desde Mis Ojos” — featuring Chris Lebron, Jay Wheeler and Sech — for a No. 43 high in 2022.

As reported, Cris MJ lands in the top 10 of the airplay-, streaming-, digital sales combined Hot Latin Songs chart for the second time after scoring his first leader with “Gata Only” featuring FloyyMenor (chart dated April 20 ). the second longest charting song of 2024, after Xavi's “La Diabla” (the 14-week ruler begins the list dated January 6).

Additionally, the 22-year-old makes his first appearance on the Billboard Artist 100 chart, debuting at No. 91. Globally, Cris MJ claims a new entry on both global charts: No. 76 debut on the Billboard Global 200 with 20.9 million streams worldwide. Meanwhile, outside the US it collects 13.1 million clicks for a No. 122 start in Global Excl. US ranking.
