Crumb have announced a headlining North American tour and unveiled a new song from their upcoming album. Amama. With Title “The Bug”, the piece comes with a Haoyan of America –directed music video that is filled with crawling insects. Check it out below.
According to singer Lila Ramani, “The Bug” has been orbiting Crumb since before Jinx. “The origins go back to a motel in Nebraska on one of our first tours when I woke up with a bunch of bed bug bites,” he explained. “Wired and unable to sleep, I wandered around the motel singing what would become the song's outro. Years later, when we finally recorded it, it took on a more tender meaning… the bug doesn't have to be an insect – the bug can be a friend, a lover, or that annoying feeling that gets you late at night.”
Crumb's North American tour kicks off in Des Moines, Iowa, on July 18—just three days before their show at Pitchfork Music festival in Chicago, Illinois—and brings the band to the United States and Canada through October. L'Rain, Vagabon and Discovery Zone will join Crumb at select shows. See the group's full tour itinerary below.
