D-Block Europe is heading for its first UK No.1 with Rolling rock (via D-Block Europe), the third studio album by the British hip-hop collective.
Rolling rock leads a brand new top three in the midweek chart and will extend his tally of top 10 UK albums, which currently stands at seven – the most of any UK rap song in the history of the Official Charts.
The outcome is not predetermined. Vaccines are far behind Pick-up full of pink carnations (Super Easy), on track for a No. 2 debut. Gather will give the English indie-pop outfit a sixth consecutive UK top 10 album and their highest chart appearance since 2015 English graffitiwhich also rose to No. 2.
The Vaccines scored a UK No.1 in 2012 Come of age.
Meanwhile, 21 Savage is set for his first solo top 10 appearance in the country of his birth. The British-American rap star is expected to debut at No. 3 with American Dream (Epic/Slaughter Gang), his third LP. Also, three cuts from it are expected to impact the top 40 of the UK singles chart.
Savage, who was born in London and is now based in Atlanta, has two top 10 appearances with collaborative projects. The 2022 recording with Drake, Her lossreached No. 1 in the 2020s as well Savage Mode II with Metro Boomin peaking at No. 10.
Further down the charts, British singer-songwriter Bill Ryder-Jones should land his first solo album in the top 40 Iechyd Da (Domino Recordings), his fifth LP. It is new to No. 7 of the Official Chart Update. As a member of The Coral, Ryder-Jones achieved a UK No.1 in 2003 with Magic and Medicine.
Finally, Teddy Swims continues to climb the charts with his debut album I've Tried Everything But Therapy (Part 1) (via Atlantic). It's projected to rise 24-11 on the survey as the hit single from it, “Lose Control,” climbs to No. 5 on the breakout singles chart.
