Dame Helen Mirren recently spoke about the loss of people still experiencing their youth as part of a wider conversation about the experience of aging in public life. While appearing in A happy world On the podcast, the 79-year-old actress mentioned Kurt Cobain as a particularly tragic example.
“This is what '79 is, you know? And it's pretty good. It’s not brilliant,” Mirren said. “But being 25 wasn't that bright either, so it's not at all about looking for youth. It's a matter of living the life you have as fully, positively, pleasurably, and confusingly as you did when you were younger.”
