Dave Grohl and Epiphone joined forces for the new DG-335 Signature Guitar in March of this year. After the model sold out rather quickly, Epiphone announced that the guitar is back in stock (Buy here).
The guitar should look familiar to Foo Fighters fans, as it combines the body of Grohl’s trusty ES guitar (which even sports the same striking Pelham Blue finish) with a one-piece mahogany neck with an elliptical C profile, a laurel fingerboard, split diamond inlays, and a Trini Lopez-style headstock with Grover Mini Rotomatic tuners.

The semi-hollow body is crafted from layered maple and poplar and also features the diamond-shaped F-holes that are a fixture of the ES models. As for electronics, the guitar houses Dave’s go-to pickups – Gibson USA Burstbucker models, with a Burstbucker 2 in the neck and a Burstbucker 3 in the bridge position. These are wired to CTS pots, Mallory capacitors, and a Switchcraft 3-way toggle switch and 1/4-inch output jack.
Epiphone said the DG-335 is “one of the most sought-after models” in the brand’s history. The guitar retails for $1,299 and comes with a custom Dave Grohl hardshell case.
Fans can also catch Dave Grohl playing his ES-335 guitar on the current Foo Fighters tour in 2024, with Tickets available here.
