David Gilmour has confirmed a special limited tour of dates in the US in promotion of his new album. Lucky and strange.
Marking his first U.S. performances in eight years, Gilmour will perform at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on October 29-30, and at Madison Square Garden in New York City on November 4-5. According to a press release, these dates will be Gilmour's only live performances in North America.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public starting Friday, May 17 at 10:00 am via Ticketmaster. There will also be a series of ticket pre-sales for members of Gilmour's fan club. (scheduled for Wednesday, May 15) and Chase cardholders (scheduled for Thursday, May 16).
Gilmour will be joined by a live band including Guy Pratt, bass and backing vocals; Greg Phillinganes, keyboards; Rob Gentry, keyboards; Adam Betts, drums; Ben Worsley, guitar; Louise Marshall, backing vocals; Hattie Webb, backing vocals; and Charlie Webb, backing vocals.
Lucky and strange, Gilmour's first new album in nine years, will be released on September 6. As a preview, he released “The Piper's Call” as the album's first single.
