The Las Vegas Strip has been transformed into one massive Shakedown Street thanks to Dead & Company, who officially opened their “Dead Forever” residency at The Sphere on Thursday night.
On stage at Las Vegas' hottest new venue for the first of 24 shows, Dead & Company performed a jam-packed 19-song set divided into two parts. After opening with “Feel Like a Stranger,” the group performed fan favorites like “Jack Straw,” “Bird Song,” and “Brown-Eyed Woman.”

After a half-hour break, Dead & Company returned to “Uncle John's Band” and reviewed classics like “Help on the Way,” “slipknot!” and “Franklin's Tower.” They closed the evening with back-to-back versions of Bob Dylan's “Knockin' on Heaven's Door” and The Crickets' “Not Fade Away.”

Coming into their 10th year as a band, Dead & Company's residency at The Sphere is their first set of dates since wrapping up their 2023 tour last July (supposedly their last “tour” ever). Now, each night at The Sphere will feature a unique setlist with “never-before-seen visual storytelling,” courtesy of the venue's cutting-edge technology.
Dead & Company's “Dead Forever” residency will run through mid-July, with the band performing for three nights at the venue on weekends. See the full list of your upcoming residency dates and get tickets here.
