This is a brand new double disc collaboration from Russian duo Heaven & Miztica. One of whom had already established himself in the European horror scene releasing a couple of EPs along with a full length album as part of his solo discography in the early/mid 2010s and the other happened to be his close friend, musical collaborator, multi-Talented singer and highly skilled tattoo artist. Heaven sadly passed away in September 2021 due to complications from COVID-19, and Scum signed the duo to Lyrikal Snuff Productionz exactly one year later, making them the label's first international act. Deadly depression & Inhumanity it was later clarified that they were Heaven's latest projects, which became even more so since Miztica signed to LSP as a solo artist this spring.
“The Farm” kicks off in the form of this Hellish trap metal opener that talks about why they're both single, while “Sorrow & Sadness” featuring Jakob Shaw finds the trio going the boom bap route discussing instrumentals the only 2 things they have in this world. “On My Own” is full nu metal to talk about doing things on your own just before “Anger” traps metal with nu metal showing some angst.
As for “Close Your Eyes,” we have the duo return with a nu metal edge with some hard-hitting rap verses leading into “Do Me a Favor” featuring g-punk band Suburban Noize Records (həd) bringing everyone together for that killer rap. rock/nu metal crossover that throws it back to the early 2000s. “Let Me Try” chaotically deals with the subject of death while “Where Are You?” he sings to be remembered.
“No More Hell” works on some heavy guitars, advising not to look either in the face as they're ready to fly and closer “While My Flame Burns” properly ties the 2-disc collaborative experience together with this heartfelt rap rock ballad that would not only make Heaven proud, but Sick Jacken saves the best feature for last on top of it.
Unlike most of the artists on the LSP roster who are known for putting a boom bap & trap spin on the horror subgenre, Deathpression / Inhumanity stands out as something entirely unique that blends trap metal with nu metal and rap rock over a 2-disc body of work that clocks in at just over half an hour, paying tribute to Heaven's legacy and fueling interest in her solo career Miztica in the future.
