The Dexys are back! After the commercial and critical praise of The feminine divinitytheir first album of new material in 11 years, Dexys returns with 'The Feminine Divine + Dexys Classics: Live!' (out May 24 on 100% Records), as well as summer tour dates including a highly anticipated appearance at Glastonbury.
The feminine divinity charted at number 6 in the UK, the band's best chart position in over 4 decades and highest since the release of the iconic Too much rye. The album was received with unanimous praise from critics.
The Feminine Divinity The success is followed by today's announcement of a live album featuring a full performance of the studio album along with many Dexys classics, including the iconic singles “Come On Eileen”, “Geno” and “Jackie Wilson Said (I' m In Heaven When You Smile). ).”
Recorded during the band's successful 2023 tour, the album shows Dexys at their uncompromising best, and the first half of the set was a full theatrical performance of The feminine divinity in 3 acts. The second half of the set (titled The Concert) features a retrospective of Dexys through the years, including many fan-favorite songs being played live for the first time in decades.
