Diddy may be in the crosshairs of many fans and fellow entertainers following the allegations made by Cassie and a few other women late last year, but Clive Davis doesn't seem to have a problem sticking it out with the embattled music icon. not at all.
According Page six, Clive Davis extended Diddy an invite to his exclusive annual pre-Grammy party, should Diddy decide to attend and confront everyone familiar with his alleged antics behind closed doors. After a digital invitation to the event was sent out to potential attendees, many noticed that Diddy wasn't featured as prominently in the video montage as in years past.
This has led some to speculate that perhaps Diddy was excluded from the guest list due to allegations leveled against him by Cassie and a few other women who claimed they were sexually assaulted and otherwise physically abused. However, that doesn't seem to matter to Davis, as a source close to the matter told Page Six: “Puffy is a permanent party inviter. It's always on the list.”
Per Page Six:
“Puffy didn't rub,” they said. “Each year, the photos included in the pre-Grammy gala invitation are updated. Different artists, guests and performers change from year to year.”
Combs is nominated in the Best Progressive R&B Album category for his latest project, “The Love Album: Off the Grid,” at this year's Grammys.
We hear Combs doesn't plan to attend the awards despite the nomination. But the Grammys did not exclude him from the show, since their standard policy is that the Recording Academy invites all nominees.
Although he has denied any wrongdoing and vowed to fight for his good name after settling with Cassie right away, Puff must know it will be an awkward situation for him (and others) to attend these kinds of events with the allegations against him. still raw in the minds of his colleagues in the music industry.
However, don't be surprised if Diddy is back in the spotlight next year after being out of the public eye until it all breaks out and people move on from these allegations.
