Media personality DJ Akademiks has been sued for rape, sexual assault and defamation by his alleged ex-girlfriend. Fauziya Abashec claims she was raped by two men and Akademiks, born Livingston Allen, at his home in 2022.
Rolling rock Firstly reported on the lawsuit and the detailed allegations it contains are heinous. Abashec aka “Ziya” claimed to be dating the infamous internet personality after meeting him in 2001. But in 2002, after what she says was about a year of not seeing him, he allegedly invited her to his home.
But while she was waiting for the Academics alone, she was met by two yet-to-be-named men. She claims the men drugged and raped her on the Akademiks pool deck. She also claims that at some point during the night, the Akademik sexually assaulted her as well.
TRIGGER WARNING.

Abashe says the drugs “affected her memory and caused her to lose consciousness,” according to the lawsuit. She claims she was later awoken at around 4am (July 17, 2022) in a bedroom by Allen, who “pulled her hair, spread her legs and brutally raped her,” she claims. Abashe accuses Allen of anally and vaginally penetrating her and says she was “begging” him to stop and was “crying for most of this assault, but she lost her ability to physically move.”
The next day, according to the lawsuit, Abashe asked Allen for details about what happened the night before. He allegedly showed her a trash can containing two condom wrappers, which suggested to Abashe that, after the alleged attack on the pool deck, the two John Does “had taken her to another room in the house and proceeded to brutally rape her.” Abashe also claimed that Allen showed surveillance video of the alleged attack on the pool deck.
“According to Ms. Abashe, as she watched the video, it looked like she was lying there lifeless, which did not sit well with her,” the suit states.
Abashe claims to have text messages that support her story.
The victim also reportedly contacted the police, who suggested she go to the hospital for a rape kit. According to reports, traces of Akademiks' sperm were found in the kit after testing. Abashe then reportedly managed to get Akademiks to admit to the attack through a story read directly from an episode of Law & Order: SVU.

After contacting her lawyer for advice, Abashe went to the police. Authorities first told her to visit a hospital for a rape kit, which she did. The kit supposedly led to the discovery of traces of Allen's sperm, he claims. Abashe then spoke to authorities in person and photographs were taken of bruises on Abashe's arm, back, buttocks and legs.
Abashe also participated in a “recorded phone call” with Allen in which, she claimed, Allen “graphically narrated[ed] and admit[ed] to have sexual intercourse' with her, 'even to describe her vagina'.
That led officers to obtain a warrant for the surveillance footage and other evidence. Abashe later claimed that Allen “threw several items (sheets, etc.) into the trash can near his desk. Apparently, Mr. Allen was trying to destroy the evidence of Ms. Abashe's rape.
However, Abashe chose not to go to the police. Instead, he decided to pursue the lawsuit after some details of the incident leaked on social media in late 2023. In a YouTube video called Story time with Ak! DJ Akademiks exposes his ex Chey and talks about her trying to ruin his image!, Akademiks said, “She was being trained by my two men on my pool deck.” Ziya claims he was defamed because Akademiks knew he didn't remember what happened, yet claimed he didn't know he was allegedly assaulted.
This video, where Ak begins to detail the cops who broke into his house (see below), is still up and is definitely proof (or a confession) now. So far, DJ Akademiks has not commented on the lawsuit.
