Djo brings “End of Beginning” to No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50, jumping 3-1 on the chart as of March 23.
The TikTok Billboard Top 50 is a weekly ranking of the most popular songs on TikTok in the United States based on creations, video views, and user engagement. The most recent chart reflects activity March 11-17. TikTok activity is not included Advertising sign charts other than the TikTok Billboard Top 50. As previously mentioned, titles that are part of the Universal Music Group catalog are currently not available on TikTok.
“End of Beginning” previously reached No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 chart dated March 2, becoming the first Advertising sign skipper for Djo (real name Joe Keery, also known as actor Stranger Things, Fargo and more).
His return to No. 1 coincides with his rise to the top Advertising signAlternative stream Songs Ranking. The tune racked up 16.7 million official streams in the US from March 8-14, a 21% jump, according to Luminate. It also hits a new peak of No. 21 on the multi-metric, all-genre Billboard Hot 100.
The trends using the “End of Beginning” sound are set by the “If I won the lottery” theme, which helped the song climb to No. 1 in its initial run and continue into March.
Unlike the TikTok Billboard Top 50 dated March 16, in which the top five remained completely static from the previous frame, the top tier of the chart is undergoing some upheaval under Djo, as Benson Boone's “Beautiful Things” jumps 11-2.
It's a new peak for “Beautiful Things,” which debuted at No. 6 on the Feb. 10 survey and has bounced around the top 20 since. While the song's initial debut was largely thanks to the teasers on TikTok for weeks before its official release (January 18), its latest leap is via the proliferation of recently released lip-synching clips featuring the track, along with its climb up the Hot 100, returning to its peak at No. 3 on March 23.
Ye (formerly Kanye West) and Ty Dolla $ign's “Carnival,” No. 1 on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 for the past two weeks, falls to No. 3, while Beyonce's “Texas Hold'Em” returns at the top. five, blasting 39-4, and Bobby Caldwell's previous No. 1 “What You Won't Do for Love” sinks 2-5. It's the 'Texas Hold'Em' dance trend that continues to power No. 4, with many users also donning cowboy outfits to celebrate Beyonce's turn to country. The song had fallen off the chart for a while due to its removal from the platform, but has since returned.
Dasha's “Austin” is the only song of the week to reach the top 10 for the first time, jumping to No. 6 after debuting at No. 15 on March 16. Its rise gives the chart two country songs in the top 10 (along with “Texas Hold 'Em”), the first time that has happened since the TikTok Billboard Top 50 launched in September 2023.
Like “Texas Hold 'Em,” “Austin” benefits from a dance-inspired trend, with Dasha herself leading the pack through a variety of downloads.
“Austin” jumps 65% in official US streams to 6.7 million March 8-14, giving Dasha her first Hot 100 appearance at No. 74, as previously reported.
The week's top debut on the TikTok Billboard Top 50 belongs to Don Toliver, whose “Bandit” debuts at No. 14. “Bandit” was originally released on February 1st and quickly rose on TikTok after being used in multiple viral clips from the last few weeks.
Finally, in a possible harbinger of future rankings, Sexyy Red's “Get It Sexyy” and Cardi B's “Enough (Miami)” start at Nos. 44 and 45, respectively, following their official March 15 releases, meaning that tracks are bowing out despite just three days of tracking with official audio (the TikTok Billboard Top 50 runs on a Monday-Sunday tracking period).
