Dolly Parton is practically coming to a concert hall near you.
The Rock Hall-inducted country legend isn't backing down on her decision to abandon full-scale touring, though she has greenlighted a new, traveling experience that will take her music around the world.
Dolly Parton's Threads: My Songs in Symphony It is said to be an “innovative multimedia experience” with Dolly on screen and giving the audience a “visual-musical journey through her songs, her life and her stories”.
This project will start tickets/concert/2024-2025-season/dolly-partons-threads-my-songs-in-symphony/” target=”_blank”>Thursday, March 20, 2025 at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center, with the Nashville Symphony. Guest singers and musicians selected by Parton will appear on this show and more. Schirmer Theatrical and Sony Music Publishing are co-producers and more cities featuring local orchestras will be announced in due course.
Expect to hear the classics “Jolene,” “Coat Of Many Colors” and “I Will Always Love You,” as well as Dolly's “personal favorites” and an as-yet-unreleased selection from her upcoming Broadway musical.
Parton, now 78, isn't slowing down her workload, which includes recordings, book releases and projects for the small and big screens, although she revealed in 2022 that full-on tours are a thing of the past. “I don't think I'll ever tour again, but I know I'll do special shows here and there, here and there. Maybe do a big weekend of shows or just a few shows at a festival. But I have no intention of going on a full tour anymore,” Parton told Pollstar. (Billboard independently verified the story.)

Before Dolly Parton's yarns goes out on the road, the country icon will be released Good Lookin' CookinOn September 17, a cookbook she is collaborating on with her sister, Rachel Parton George.
Dolly's 49th solo studio album Rock star landed at No. 1 on Billboard's Top Selling Albums chart last year, her first chart-topper in 32 years. The star-studded collection was promoted as Parton's first rock album, and its recording was inspired by Parton's induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. The 30-track collection also debuted at No. 3 of his career -type Billboard 200, surpassing Parton's previous high of No. 6 for 2014's Blue Smoke.
