A cover or sample of “Jolene” may be on the way from Beyoncé, at least according to Dolly Parton. During one album/72909922007/” target=”_blank”>recent interview with Tennessee's Knox News, Parton revealed that Queen Bey has recorded a cover of her iconic song — and it may even be featured on Beyoncé's song Act II.
“I think she recorded 'Jolene,' and I think it's probably going to be on her country album, which I'm really excited about,” Parton said.
“I love her!” she added. “She's a beautiful girl and a great singer.”
Parton has shared her support of Beyoncé's recent country venture in the past. When “Texas Hold 'Em” reached Number One on the Billboard Hot Country Songs Chart, Parton released a statement sharing her excitement for the upcoming album.
“I'm a huge fan of Beyoncé and I'm so excited that she's done a country album,” Parton wrote at the time. “So congratulations to you Advertising sign Hot Country number one single. I can't wait to hear the whole album.”
During one interview with Big issue In 2020, Parton said she had “always hoped” that Bey would become one of the hundreds of artists to record a cover of the track. “Nobody's ever had a really big hit,” Parton said of the “Jolene” covers. “I've always hoped that someone can do it someday, someone like Beyoncé.”
