After revealing that he was battling cancer via an Instagram post on Monday (June 17), Don Omar announced a day later that he is now “cancer free.”
“Woke up today cancer free and thankful,” he captioned a selfie on Instagram on Tuesday (June 18). “Thank you for your wishes, prayers and thousands of messages. My operation was successful and now I have to recover.”
The positive news comes just hours after the Puerto Rican artist worried his nearly 12 million Instagram followers by announcing he was battling the disease. “Today yes, but tomorrow I won't have cancer,” he wrote at the same time a photograph of his pericarpal hospital from an Orlando-based medical center, though he did not share the type of cancer he had. “Good intentions are accepted. See you soon. #f–kcancer.”
