It never hurts when your boyfriend's mom thinks you're really good at your job. In Taylor Swift's case, that means she'll be getting a five-star review from Donna Kelce for her new record-breaking double album, Department of Tormented Poets. Mama Kelce spoke People magazine this week at a QVC event in Las Vegas, where boyfriend Travis Kelce's mom admitted she was just like the rest of you.
“I listened to the whole album and I listened to it all morning when it came out,” the matriarch of the Kelce family said of the 31-song collection that is on pace to have one of the biggest first weeks in chart history. “I was very impressed. She's a very talented woman and I think it's probably her best work.”
That wasn't the only tea Donna spilled at the event. According Peopledonna found out Music teacher star Bradley Cooper and his eternal awards show date, mom Gloria would be attending the same QVC event in Vegas when her Super Bowl champion sent her a photo of him and Swift on a double date in California with Cooper and model Gigi Hadid.
And while she didn't comment on which tracks she thinks are about Travis, Swifties have speculated that at least two songs on the collection seem to reference Kansas City Chiefs tight ends, including “The Alchemy” and “So High School.” with Swift seemingly immersing herself in her gym with metaphors for the former. “These dudes heat up the stands/ We been on a winning streak/ He jokes that 'She's heroin, but this time with an E'/ 'Cause the sign in your heart said she's still bound for me/ Honestly, who are we to fight alchemy?' she sings
“So High School” cues require a stronger decoder ring, but Swifties are pretty confident that around the 40-second mark, the lyrics “cheeks pink in the twinkling lights” contain a coded reference to his initials (“TK”) and hers, “TS” in “lights” in a pale pink hue in his lyric video song.
