Don is back.
Australian singer, songwriter and ace bassist Donny Benet is back together Infinite Desireshis sixth full-length studio album and first his independent label Donnyland Records, distributed through The Orchard.

The seeds of LP were planted during peak pandemic times – and the fruits are now ripe for the picking. “It's been a marathon journey getting this new album out and I'm excited to say it's some of my best work yet,” says Benet Advertising sign before release.
Since its launch in 2021, the collection is “undoubtedly influenced by events in the world and my own personal experiences. I really took all the time and care to make sure this album was right.”
With the health crisis behind us, Benét changed tack for a DIY route.
Bene, who has a master's degree in jazz performance, now self-manages and releases his work through Donnyland Records. “I like being so hands-on,” he said recently said this reporter. And running the label “you just control how I release music”.
Based in Sydney, Benét's inimitable style and sounds have earned him a global cult following. is a mix of groovy tunes with 80s flair, pastel time machine costumes and a look that has been described as that of a villain straight out of Grand Theft Auto. He was recently spotted with US joke Eric Andreand can count The Weeknd among his fans.
Infinite Desires is its sequel Mr. Experience (via Dot Dash/ Remote Control Record), which opened at No. 26 on the ARIA Albums Chart in May 2020, and the instrumental Le Pianowinner of Best Independent Jazz album or EP at the 2023 AIR Awards.
Due to the spread of COVID-19, however, Don's ambitions for a full-scale tour were shelved. Hell makeup for lost time with UK treks from (March 7), continental Europe (from March 16, with Stockholm, Sweden-based disco Tomode supporting), North America (from May 2) and home of (from June 7).
Infinite Desires features previously released funk cuts “Multiply” and “American Dream” and the ballad “Forbidden Love”, which have enjoyed regular rotation on Angerthe Australian Broadcasting Corporation's music video program.
“Relying on my favorite influences while applying a timely spin to the frame,” Benét says of the new album, “I feel like I've given my listeners more of 'me' this time around.”
