With the NBA Finals gearing up for Thursday night's (June 6) tip-off and the Stanley Cup Final just around the corner, Drake has already locked in his bets for each series.
Through his partnership with Stake, Drizzy posted a pair of $500,000 worth of gambling tickets. Drake really meant it when he said it was For all dogsas the 6 God rides with both underdogs in the respective order.
“Dallas because I'm a Texan Oilers go without saying Picks are at @stake,” he captioned the post with the six-figure odds.
With the Dallas Mavericks, he bet $500.00 that they beat the Boston Celtics for Kyrie Irving's second Larry O'Brien Trophy, which earns him $875,000 and a total pay of $1.375 million overall.
On the ice, Drizzy is siding with Canada and hoping that Connor McDavid and the Edmonton Oilers can bring the Cup home. He's a slight underdog, with Drake betting $500,000 to win $525,000 for a combined payout of $1.025 million.
A fan was quick to remind Drake how he cleaned up during the 2023 NBA Finals, where cashed in some big bets thanks to the dismantling of the Miami Heat by the Denver Nuggets.
“The real ones remember you bet Quarter M in nuggets to win 4-1 last year and win so it's Mavs,” they commented.
Drake ended up walking away with more than $800,000 in winnings after Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets beat last year's mark in five games.
More recently, the OVO boss hasn't been so lucky with his gamble. In May, he bet $565,000 on boxer Tyson Fury, who ended up losing to Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk.
Still, it's surprising to see Drake supporting the Mavericks after they played Kendrick Lamar's diss track “Meet the Grahams” at one of the team's practices earlier this week.
