It was indeed their last night
Drake and Morgan Wallen enjoy a meal together before grabbing their simple desserts in the new music video for “You Broke My Heart.”
The clip, directed by Theo Skudra, opens with the friends finishing dinner at a fancy restaurant, gossiping about doomed relationships and not-so-broken hearts. “I think she might have been the wrong girl anyway,” Wallen sagely (?) tells Drake before the two look at the coming night and all the other fish in the sea.
The camera then follows Drake and Wallen as they walk to their car, get in, and begin to drive away. At that point, two women (Grace Matthews and Taylor Morris) enter the frame and detonate a bomb that blows up the car containing the two superstars on stairs. The two women celebrate the execution of their plot by dancing and singing along to “You Broke My Heart,” refusing to stop daydreaming even when the cops finally show up.
“You Broke My Heart” appears on Drake's latest album, For all dogswhich was released in October (and just appeared on Rolling rocklist of the 10 best rap albums of 2023). The album followed his 2022 solo release, Honestly, Nevermindas well as his collaborative album with 21 Savage, Her losswhich was nominated for Best Rap Album at the 2024 Grammys. One month after its release For all dogsDrake has dropped the third installment in his ongoing Scary Hours EP series.
