It was pretty obvious to much of Hip-Hop culture that Drake kicked some ass in his highly publicized and talked about battle with Kendrick Lamar. Although many Drake “Stans” swore that the 6 Gawd was somehow winning the war, the King of the North seems to be flying the white flag.
In a recent post to his Instagram stories, Drizzy shared some artwork featuring a samurai looking down on an army of warriors (the man who's finished shooting and retaliating at a number of rappers in recent weeks) and simply wrote, “Good times . Summer vibes are coming.”
It looks like Drake is officially done with Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross, The Weeknd, Metro Boomin' and whoever else entered this battle.
The post comes after Top Dawg Entertainment founder Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith took to X to announce that the battle between his artist, Kendrick Lamar, and Drake was “over” and called it “A victory for the culture , while he kept it all in wax.”
To be honest, we're glad this is over. Not because the music wasn't dope (it was), but because fans really started targeting Drake, which reportedly led to one of his security guards getting shot next to his Toronto home and flagship store OVO by Drake. they vandalized London.
The hate for Drake was starting to get very real. It is perhaps best that civilization moves forward and everyone retreats to their respective sides.
What do you think about Drake apparently throwing in the towel? Is enough? Did he get the L? Let us know in the comments section below.
