This week in In defense of skaDunia Best returns alongside her brother Ahmed Best, who played Jar Jar Binks in the Star Wars prequel movies (!!). Listen to their conversation and learn about the Ska Wars above, or Wherever you get your podcasts.
Dunia had I previously joined the podcast In 2022, he'll be talking about his 90s ska band Agent 99, his time in The Slackers, and his current projects, including Rude Girl Revue and Aram. This time, he'll be supported by his brother Ahmed, who in addition to playing Jar Jar Binks, is a ska musician of sorts.
Ahmed frequently replaced Agent 99 as drummer, played in the group The Jazzhole and even accompanied artists such as Jeff Buckley and The Fugees. Such performances led him to Stompwhich eventually earned him an audition to join the Star Wars universe. The rest, as they say, is history (from a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away).
Together, Dunia and Ahmed Best talk about their upbringing, share stories from the 90s, and more. Listen to the couple's conversation above, and be sure to like, comment, and follow the video.
