February 29, 2024 – Happy Leap Day! Critically acclaimed rock group EELS have decided to take advantage of the extra time this extra day gives them to announce their fifteenth studio album titled EELS TIME!, scheduled for release on June 7 via E Works/Play It Again Sam. Along with the announcement, EELS have shared acoustic opening track 'Time', the result of their first in-person recording session since the start of the pandemic.
The album news follows a busy 2023 for EELS, where they finally hit the road for their long-awaited Lockdown Hurricane tour across Europe and North America and closed out the year with the release of their second best compilation album, EELS So Good: Essential EELS , Vol.2 and a new song, 'Christmas, Why You Gotta Do Me Like This'.

Recorded between Los Feliz, California and Dublin, Ireland, EELS TIME! consists of twelve new tracks with collaborators such as Koool G Murder, The Chet, Tyson Ritter, Sean Coleman and more.

EELS has had one of the most acclaimed musical careers. EELS, the ever-changing project of lead singer and songwriter E (Mark Oliver Everett), has released 14 studio albums since their 1996 debut, Beautiful Freak. In 2008, E published his acclaimed book Things Grandkids Should Know and starred in the award-winning documentary Parallel Worlds, Parallel Lives about his quest to understand his father, quantum physicist Hugh Everett III.
