Mau y Ricky, “Libélulas” (Why Club Records)
Mau and Ricky present a new mid-tempo pop single as pleasing to the ear as the waves of the sea. In the nostalgic and relaxed “Libélulas”, the Montaner brothers sing softly about a relationship that has already ended, but they do not lose hope of starting again. “And if in a few years there's no one else, give me a son/ That's true, that's true/ Says nothing that ain't happened to nobody/ That can work,” says part of the chorus.
“'Libélulas' is a song we made to express a feeling we had at some point in our real lives,” Mau and Ricky say in a press release. “We wanted to preserve the essence of Hotel Caracas, the sound and aesthetic that has given us so much joy, and we believe that 'Libélulas' has all these elements.” Driven by guitar riffs, Latin percussion and fresh, laid-back arrangements, the song — one you can listen to on repeat while driving — is accompanied by a cheerful music video shot retro-style on a beach. — SIGAL RATNER-ARIAS
Elena Rose, Maria Becerra, “Pa' Qué Volviste?” (Kira Records/Warner Music Latina)
In a first collaborative effort, Elena Rose and Maria Becerra drop the very powerful, very relatable 'Pa' Qué Volviste?' Backed by synth melodies and soft keyboards, Elena begins by saying that she woke up and feels great—especially after doing everything to forget about her ex. “And now that I'm almost happy/ You're ruining my life by texting me again,” she sings before the beat shifts to a seductive cumbia beat mixed with urban melodies. “Why did you come back if you're already gone?/ I almost erased the kisses you gave me,” Becerra raps during the chorus. Its catchy hook promises to become a fan favorite on social media: “If they ask for me, tell them I'm good and hot,” sings the Venezuelan and Argentine powerhouse — both wearing turtleneck dresses in the music video. they celebrate life, friendship and being single. — JESSICA ROSE
Ela Taubert & Joe Jonas, “¿Cómo Pasó?” (Universal Music Latino / Arthouse)
This new bilingual version of Ela Taubert's February single takes the original song — which reached No. 12 the Bulletin board's Latin Pop Airplay chart — to a new level, making it a global anthem. The powerful voices of both artists, which alternate and merge beautifully singing in Spanish and English, give new energy to “¿Cómo Pasó?” — a song about the complexities of love and heartbreak (whose title in English means “How did it happen?”) — adding lyrics such as “Pero si era tan bueno, ¿por qué no duró?”” (But if it was so good, why didn't it last?), and others like the infectious chorus “It seems so easy for you to leave.” The duo premiered the collaboration on Thursday (November 14) in a rocking Latin number Grammys, where the Colombian singer-songwriter ended up taking home the coveted award for Best New Artist.Given her extraordinary talent, no one will he was wondering how THIS happened. — SRA

Crafted with live instruments, the album finds Rauw flirting with salsa, merengue, bolero and kizomba music, but also honing electro-funk fusions and staying true to his urban roots.
“If you lose your essence, you lose everything,” he explained Bulletin board. “I always try to find a happy medium, not only what I like to hear as an artist, but also what my fans like.” Cosa Nuestrainspired by the New York era of the 1970s, it represents culture and community, bringing together collaborators such as Bad Bunny, Romeo Santos, Pharrell Williams and Laura Pausini, for this new era of Rauw — an era that is mature, healed and liberating. — JR
