Eminem has officially endorsed Kamala Harris while also wowing Barack Obama at Harris' rally in Detroit. Keep watching to see what happened!
Tetris Kelly:
Eminem made a rare public appearance at a Kamala Harris rally in Detroit, where he introduced Barack Obama and endorsed Harris in the upcoming presidential election.
Eminem:
Heading into this election, the focus is on us more than ever and I think it's important to use your voice. I believe Vice President Harris supports a future for this country, where this freedom and many others will be protected and defended.
Tetris Kelly:
Obama took the stage and admitted he was a little nervous following in the iconic Detroit rapper's footsteps. The former president even rapped Em's anthem “Lose Yourself” a cappella, which was also his exit music.
Barack Obama:
I must say that I have participated in many rallies, so I don't usually get nervous. But I felt like I was following Eminem in some way. Now I realize, my palms are sweaty, my knees are weak, my arms are heavy, I already have vomit on my sweater, mom's spaghetti. I'm nervous, but on the surface I seem calm and ready to drop bombs, but I keep forgetting. Love me some Eminem.
Tetris Kelly:
The move excited the Detroit crowd, although Obama has long been a fan of Slim Shady. He revealed in a 2020 interview that “Lose Yourself” was one of the songs that inspired him while he was on the 2008 presidential campaign.
Barack Obama:
When he needed some inspiration for the presidential campaign, he often turned to music. It was rap that put my head in the right place, two songs in particular.
