Moreover, following a string of successful chart-topping collaborations, Houdini becomes Eminem’s first fully solo Number 1 single in 19 years, since Like Toy Soldiers topped the chart in 2002. Houdini also marks the biggest opening week of video streams (4m) since Adele’s Easy On Me in October 2021 (4.58m).
And as if that wasn’t enough, Houdini is officially Marshall Mathers’ biggest opening week since Without Me debuted at Number 1 in 2002. Without Me also returns to the Top 40 for the first time in 19 years this week (38).
Earning the biggest opening week for a song since Dave and Central Cee’s Sprinter – exactly one year ago this week – Houdini also draws Eminem level with Calvin Harris on the list of artists with the most Number 1s on the Official Singles Chart; each with 11 to their name.
Following a five-week stint at the summit, Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso is dethroned; down one to Number 2.
Central Cee and Lil Baby’s team-up BAND4BAND lifts one to a new peak this week (3), as does breakout Luton singer-songwriter Myles Smith’s Stargazing (8).

Finally, Fred again.. joins forces with Anderson .Paak and CHIKA to secure his seventh Top 40 to date with places to be (35).
