The Seattle Mariners welcomed Heeseung, Jay and Ni-ki to the lineup on Monday (April 29) to throw out the ceremonial first pitch at T-Mobile Park. The trio also hung out during the team's batting practice, sightseeing, playing catch and catching up with former Mariners shortstop Ichiro Suzuki.
In a special moment, lifelong Mariners fan and Seattle native Jay was surprised by a special video message on the scoreboard from former Mariners player Jay Buhner, after whom he was named.
The promotional step comes after the band visits the city on the US leg of their Fate Plus world tour for a show at the Tacoma Dome over the weekend, marking Jay's first concert in his home country. The five-date US tour in support of their mini-album 2023, BLOOD ORANGEkicked off on April 24th with a stop at Honda Center in Anaheim, CA and also includes shows in Oakland at Oakland Arena (April 26th), Chicago at Allstate Arena (May 1st) and Belmont Park, NY at UBS Arena (May 3rd) .
In February, the band paid tribute to one of their boy band forefathers, One Direction, when they covered the British band's hit, 'What Makes You Beautiful'.
