After much delay, HBO has announced that production on Euphoria Season 3 will finally begin in January 2025. Better yet, the entire principal cast will be returning.
“I am thrilled that we are ready to begin production on Euphoria in January,” said Francesca Orsi, executive vice president of HBO programming and head of HBO drama series and films. “We could not be happier with our creative partnership with Sam and this incredible cast. We look forward to bringing this new season of Euphoria to life for the fans.”
HBO previously pushed back production on the new season in March following a report that it had been scrapped entirely. It was also held up due to last summer’s writers and actors strikes, as well as the burgeoning popularity of actors Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, and Jacob Elordi.
Creator Sam Levinson will return as executive producer and director, with cast members Zendaya, Sydney Sweeney, Jacob Elordi, Hunter Schafer, Storm Reid, Alexa Demie, and Eric Dane all coming back as well. Unfortunately, breakout star Angus Cloud died at age 25 in July 2023.
