Eva Mendes “Ken Not” Wait for the “I'm Just Ken” Holiday Edition

Eva Mendes can't get enough of Ryan Gosling Barbie movie character.

The Hitch The actress took to Instagram on Monday (December 18) to show excitement for her husband's upcoming holiday performance Barbie dynamic ballad that stands out on the soundtrack, “I'm Just Ken.” She aptly captioned the teaser video, “Ken don't expect it,” along with a Christmas tree emoji. Earlier in the day, Barbie's official Instagram page shared a preview clip, in which Gosling and producer Mark Ronson are seen in the studio with a Christmas tree in the background. The duo play with the soundboard, working on a festive version of Gosling's “I'm Just Ken.”

“I'm Just Ken (Merry Kristmas Barbie)” is set to arrive on Wednesday (December 20).

Gosling, who played Ken in the July-released film, scored his first Billboard Hot 100 hit with the original version of “I'm Just Ken,” which debuted at No. 87 upon its release. While “I'm Just Ken” was Gosling's first entry on the Hot 100, it was not his first overall chart appearance. He has charted before, with “City of Stars” from the 2016 film La La Land. His solo version spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Jazz Digital Song Sales chart, while a version co-starring Emma Stone reached No. 8 on the Hot 100's Bubbling Under chart and No. 45 on Digital Song Sales.
