Actress Evangeline Lilly will be out of the spotlight for the foreseeable future, she revealed in a new video posted to Instagram. Watch it and read Lilly's full statement below.
“Stepping away from what seems like the obvious choice (wealth and fame) can be scary at times, but stepping into the dharma replaces fear with wholeness,” Lilly wrote in the caption. The video shows images of her time on the television program. Lost, which catapulted her to fame in the role of Kate. “Ideally, in 10 years she would be a retired actress,” she tells the camera.
For fans of Lilly's work, or anyone hoping to see her continue in the role of The Wasp in Marvel's. Ant Man series: the decision may not be permanent. “Maybe one day I'll return to Hollywood, but for now, this is where I belong,” she continued in the caption.
Lilly made headlines in recent years for its controversial reactions to COVID-19 mandates, some of which it walked back.
Meanwhile, Netflix recently announced that all six seasons of Lost will hit the streamer on July 1, allowing a new generation of people to experience the show that put Lilly on the map.
