Every four years, the Moon completely blocks the face of the Sun from Earth, causing a total solar eclipse. And according POTMexico, the United States and Canada will experience the path of totality on April 8.
To celebrate this phenomenon, 13 international music festival producers come together to collaborate on a once-in-a-lifetime experience where individuals, music, art, space and technology converge. From April 5-9, Texas' Reville Peak Ranch will be transformed into a thriving metropolis of creativity, knowledge and inspiration on a global scale.
Directed by Mitch Morales, Texas Eclipse features a multi-genre lineup that includes Tycho, CloZee, LP Giobbi and many more, as well as more than 300 notable figures in science and technology, including NASA, SpaceX, Virgin Galactic and Blue Origin.
Enter Meow Wolf. Known for developing mind-blowing, large-scale interactive art installations, the brand will feature an immersive art world called I went fishing inside the Texas eclipse.
Inspired by the simple pleasures of fishing trips and lakeside lounging, the goal is to “bring a truly hyper-local Texas twist to Meow Wolf's immersive art world within the festival,” according to a press release shared with EDM.com.
“During the day, the chatty inhabitants of the local livery share stories as captivating as the fish that got away,” the statement added. “But as dusk falls, the lake sparkles with the brilliance of neo-burlesque performances, setting the stage for a night of sizzling entertainment designed for more mature maritime friends.”
