Fallen Idolsa four-part documentary exploring the “lives and confrontations” by Nick and Aaron Carter, premieres Monday (May 27) on Investigation Discovery.
The documentary delves into Carter's music career, relationships and the “tragedies and headline events of recent years,” including sexual assault allegations against Nick by three women: Ashley Repp, Shannon “Shay” Ruth and Melissa Schuman of the girl group Dream.
Rep, Ruth and Schumann appear in the documentary, which also recounts the “intense backlash” they faced for speaking out and how their lives were affected.
Schuman first came out with rape allegations in 2017. She accused Nick of raping her in 2003 and filed a lawsuit against him in 2023. Repp, who accuses Nick of sexually assaulting her in 2001, sued him for sexual assault in 2022. Ruth sued in 2022 accusing Nick of raping her when she was 15.
The Backstreet Boys singer has denied sexual assault allegations and hit back at Schuman and Ruth in 2023. According to tour” target=”_blank”>The wrapNick's attorney released documents in response to interviews featured in the documentaries via the website FallenIdolsDocumentary.com.
The trailer features social media clips of Aaron supporting his brother's accusers, which resulted in public feud among the siblings that led to the death of the 34-year-old singer in 2022.
Besides the three women, Fall Idols characteristics interviews with an anonymous A member of the Carter family, Nick's ex-girlfriend Kaya Jones and Melanie Martin, Aaron's ex-fiancée.

The four-part documentary will air over two nights, beginning Monday, May 27, at 9 p.m. ET/PT on ID Network and broadcast on Maximum. The second part will premiere on Tuesday.
