For this year's mid-year report, I wanted to hear from all of you, the lovely people who read this column. After all, I get to share my thoughts on what I listen to and love every week, so the midpoint of 2024 seemed like the perfect time to flip the script.
I was really excited by the response to Fan Chant's first reader survey and plan to do more things like this in the future. It's been so fun to not only see how people react to new releases, but also discover new music to add to my rotation (hello, ARTMS and TWS).
So, without further ado, enjoy this year's reader-voted roundup of the best k-pop releases of 2024 so far, from underrated albums and must-see singles to the best music videos and verses to grace our phones. I hope you enjoy seeing the results as much as I enjoyed seeing them appear!

Favorite girl group release:
Reader results: There were two songs that actually tied for favorite girl group release here in 2024. One was “Untouchable” by ITZY and the other aligned with my personal pick: “MIDAS TOUCH” by KISS OF LIFE, which was also included on our site-wide list of the 100 best songs of the year so far.
Honorable mentions: LE SSERAFIM appeared several times in the results, and “SMART” and “EASY” received a lot of love. NMIXX’s “Dash” was also a contender.
