Megan Thee Stallion dropped a new album on Friday (June 28), and some fans seem to think she's taking shots at Nicki Minaj on a few tracks.
The two have gone strong in the past, with Nicki Minaj releasing the diss track “Big Foot” earlier this year in response to Meghan's “Hiss,” the latter of which reached No. 1 on the Hot 100 and serves as Meganhis introductory piece. This is important to note because fans believe there are subtitles aimed at Nicki's direction on the next song, “Rattle.”
Wasting no time, he raps, “I ain't got no tea on me, that's what he thinks TMZ” as soon as the song starts. Nicki had a rant at the end of “Big Foot,” where she begins by saying, “Now listen, Big Foot. You know I got a lot of tea. I went easy on you.”
Elsewhere on “Rattle,” Megan appears to take aim at Minaj again.” “Damn, b—h, it's been four years/ Worried about your husband and your kid,” she spits. “Your life should be boring, if you still remember “what we did”.
These bars appear to refer to her collaboration with Nicki “Hot Girl Summer” and her collaboration “WAP” with Cardi B, which were released in 2019 and 2020, respectively. This is around the time that Nicki and Meg's relationship started to change. He ends the verse with, “And I ain't worry about the bitter b—the hookup/All the h—earned them spots in the fan club,” possibly referring to JT, BIA, Maliibu Miitch, Katie Got The Bandz and Akbar V come out to perform “Super Freaky Girl (Queen Mix)” during Nicki's Pink Friday 2 World tour.
In the next track “Figueroa,” Megan raps “I'm a mom—no Brat, no Barbie/ I'm on with whoever the b—h wants to start.” Fans immediately pointed out the diss, since Nicki's fans are commonly known as Barbz.
With this beef back on the grill, fans are asking if Nicki Minaj should wear a watch the way Kendrick did after Drake's “Push Ups” was released. Check out just some of the fan reactions to Meghan's newest bars below:
