Julianno Sosa's “Carro Re Kl” featuring Pailita tops this week's new Latin music poll.
In a poll posted Friday (April 12) — in support of the weekly New Music Latin compilation and playlist, curated by Advertising sign Latin and Billboard Español editors — music fans voted the Chilean collaborators' new single as their favorite music release of the past week.
“Carro Re Kl” collected an impressive almost 98% of the votes, beating out other new singles like Ryan Castro's “El Cantante del Ghetto”. “Cangrinaje” by Nicky Jam and Trueno. Greeicy's “KAI”? “Espectacular” by Rauw Alejandro and Sky Rompiendo. and 'KILERITO' by Brytiado and Anuel AA.
Produced by Nscar on the Beat and Naxo Raymond and independently released by Julianno Sosa and Encore Recordings, the winning track is an infectious reggaetón with synth piano melodies supporting Sosa's deep vocals and Pailita's sweetest notes.
“You only left me when I was in love/ Everything you did to me one day, left me in a bad way/ Once again I have to be at the bottom/ Go all this work to forget you,” part of the lyrics detail someone trying to get over a breakup.
Julianno Sosa (real name: Cesar Alejandro Pozo Martínez) and Pailita (real name: Carlos Javier Rain Pailacheo) are part of a fast-growing wave of urban acts in Chile, joining other Chilean newcomers such as FloyyMenor and Cris MJ, who are today No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart with “Gata Only.”
