RM's “Right Place, Wrong Person” topped this week's new music poll featuring artists across genres.
Music fans voted in a poll published on Friday (May 24). Advertising signpicking the BTS singer's second solo album as their favorite new music release of the past week.
RM's latest release garnered 86% of the vote in the poll, securing a notable lead over new releases from Twenty One Pilots (Clancy), PinkPantheress (“Turn It Up”), Clairo (“Sexy to Someone”), Zach Bryan (“Pink Skies”) and others.
The K-pop star Right place, wrong personarrived on Friday, bringing with it 11 new tracks for fans to enjoy amid BTS' military duties.
Led by the single 'Come Back to Me', Right place, wrong person Also includes the alternate songs “Nuts”, “Groin”, “Heaven”, “LOST!” and more. Overall, the album reflects a “raw and honest presentation of RM's particular sensibility, aesthetic and beliefs,” according to a BigHit news release, and follows the South Korean artist's 2022 debut album, Indianwhich reached No. 3 on the Billboard 200 album chart.
RM and his BTS bandmates Jin, SUGA, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jung Kook are currently serving in the South Korean military, which mandates 18 months of military service for all able-bodied men until they turn 28 years old. a few of the members have pursued various solo projects amid their service, and the full group plans to reunite for band activities in 2025.
Following behind Right place, wrong person on this week's poll is Twenty One Pilots' seventh album, Clancy, with almost 10% of the vote. The set follows in 2021 Scaled and frozen — which peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 — and concludes the duo's long-running album saga that began in 2015 Blurry face and 2018 Trench.
